You Will Soon be Able to Get Pulled Over in a Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla’s media darling, the Cybertruck, yet again finds itself in the headlines, only this time, in the form of a police truck. Yes, you read that right: the Tesla Cybertruck has been reincarnated as a police truck.

This reincarnation comes courtesy of UP.FIT, a company specializing in upfitting Teslas for fleet purposes. Their latest conversion, the Tesla Cybertruck Patrol, is their latest offering, and it comes with lots to talk about. Of course, the road presence of a blacked-out Cybertruck pulling you over will be significant (especially coming from somebody who daily drives a Miata). But beyond road presence, UP.FIT has gone to great lengths to do this conversion properly. For one, they’ve worked with law enforcement agencies across North America to ensure it would suit their needs.

For starters, the Cybertruck Patrol will go from 0-60 in a shocking 2.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest police cars on the market. Range also won’t be an issue thanks to the 340-mile range on the police Cybertruck.

And what UP.FIT came up with is a police truck that has all the regular gizmos you would expect from a police car, like warning lights, sirens, a PA system, and upgraded electronics. HOWEVER, UP.FIT has done plenty more.

Special Options

Since the Cybertruck has so much space, there are numerous bits of customization that can be done to the Tesla Cybertruck Patrol. Besides the normal K9 enclosure and prisoner partitions, the police-capable Cybertruck can be tailored for military purposes, search and rescue operations, or even special weapons storage.

UP.FIT has also taken advantage of the capability that the Tesla Cybertruck offers by introducing extreme off-road packages (on top of the already-upgraded brakes and tires).

Other than the Tesla Cybertruck, UP.FIT also makes a Tesla Model Y patrol car, which will go from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. UP.FIT even claims it’s the safest and most American police car ever built.

UP.FIT says the Tesla Cybertruck Patrol deliveries will begin as early as late 2024.
