Oracle Red Bull Racing have officially announced their challenger for the 2024 F1 season, marking 20 years of Red Bull’s involvement in Formula 1. Dubbed the RB20, Red Bull’s newest World Constructor’s competitor aims to continue the record-breaking success of last year’s RB19.
As per tradition, the new RB20 looks very similar from last year’s RB19. The RB20 is powered by a 900-horsepower 6-cylinder engine with a redline at 15,000 RPM.
In a press release, Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing Christian Horner showed high expectations for both the RB20 and Red Bull’s drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez:
It’s going to [be] a thrilling and hugely competitive season but as we saw last year, this is a team operating at the peak of its powers and in Max and Checo we have two drivers who can deliver at every circuit, in any conditions, so I’m confident that, just as we have done for the past 20 years, we can compete for podiums, wins and hopefully more championships.

The RB20 has big shoes to fill following the record-breaking season Red Bull had last season. For the 2023 season, Red Bull won 21/22 races last year, with 30 podiums and 15 poles also on the stat sheet. Red Bull collected the most points out of any other team in Formula 1 history in 2023, with 860 points to the RB19’s name.
