Well, the people at Hennessey are back at it again. This time, Hennessey has taken their tuning expertise to the 2024 Corvette C8 convertible, and what resulted is the ‘H700’ C8 Corvette convertible, an upgrade package that makes the upgraded C8 more powerful than the Corvette C8 Z06.
And they’ve accomplished this in the most American way possible: slapping a good old supercharger to the C8’s 6.2-liter V8. And while the supercharger may do most of the heavy lifting, a lot more has gone into the H700 C8 Corvette convertible. Hennessey fitted an upgraded cat-back exhaust system, fuel system, intercooler, and air induction system in the new C8. They’ve also recalibrated the engine and transmission for good measure.
Thanks to these upgrades, the Hennessey-tuned H700 churns out 708 horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque. This results in a boost of 44% in power and 37% in torque compared to the stock Corvette C8’s 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. Given that the Hennessey Corvette C8 coupe goes from 0-60 in the mid-two-second range, so we expect a similar time for the hard top convertible.
Additional tweaks to the upgraded C8 include “Hennessey” and “H700” badging, as well as a serial-numbered plaque.
And just in case that wasn’t enough, Hennessey offers optional upgrades for the H700 upgrade package, including an active-valve exhaust system, forged 19-inch alloy rims, and a special paint job limited to the Hennessey-tuned C8.
That special livery, dubbed the Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery, is available in Blue, White, Black, Silver, or Red.
Per Hennessey, the H700 upgrade is available on all 2020-2024 C8 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Hard Top Convertible models.
And since this package comes from Hennessey, the upgraded C8 comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. If you fancy getting the H700 package on your C8, you can go to Hennessey’s website or your local Chevrolet dealer.
